About Optical Society of JapanMessage from the president What's OSJ?The Optical Society of Japan (OSJ) was founded in 1952 as an affiliate of the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP). Its objective is to contribute to the development of the science and technology related to optics and photonics by promoting the exchange and dissemination through its academic meetings, publications and other activities. Scopes related to OSJ are : General and Physical Optics, Quantum Optics and Spectroscopy, Laser, Information Optics, Photonics and Optoelectronics, Nonlinear Optics, Optical systems and Technologies, Optical Materials and Manufacturing Technologies, Environmental, Biological and Space Optics, Vision, Far-Infrared and Short-wavelength Optics, etc. ActivitiesOSJ publishes two academic journals.
