Submission Guide

Submission for OPTICAL REVIEW

Optical Review will move to online submission gradually. This system will guarantee authors fast and safe submission of their manuscripts. Manuscript should be prepared in accordance with “Instructions for Preparation of Manuscript” and be submitted in the electronic form on the internet. You will need 1 PDF file of your manuscript and 1 form indicated below.

<Necessary items>

  1. Manuscript on PDF format
    It must contain the main body, tables, figures, and photos etc.

  2. Agreement form
    “Agreement form for Copyright Transfer and Payment of Publication Charge”
    The applicant must personally sign in the blanks for “ signature” on the agreement form.
    Also, these forms need to be submitted on PDF file with the manuscript.
    Submissions without the agreement form will not be accepted.

[Note]Prospective authors of review papers should contact an editor of OPTICAL REVIEW before preparing manuscripts. They will generally be asked to submit proposals for their papers.

Publication Charge of OPTICAL REVIEW

== Publication charge up to Vol.18 No.6, 2011===

The authors (or their institution) are requested to pay the publication charge
according to the following rates when the paper is accepted.
This entitles the author to receive 50 reprints.
¥[10,000P], where P stands for the number of printed pages of the paper.
The standard color printing fee is ¥35,000 per color page, regardless of how many color diagrams the page contains.
Additional reprints may be ordered in lots of 50 at an extra charge of ¥3,000P per lot.
The extra charge for covered reprints is ¥5,000 per paper.

The publication charge rates below apply to papers published after Vol.17 No.1, 2010 up to and including Vol.18 No.6, 2011.

== Publication charge applied from Vol.19 No.1, 2012===

From Vol. 19 No.1 2012, the publication charge will be changed to the following rates. These new rates include an electronic reprint (a PDF file) but no paper reprints. You can order paper reprints for an additional charge.

These rates apply to papers published in and after Vol.19 No.1, 2012.
