Performance of a single bi-plano lens that uses low-dispersive radial gradient-index (GRIN) material is evaluated and is shown to suffice for photographic objectives of general use. Also, investigating the dispersion property, it is shown that the Hertzberger equation is applicable to the radial GRIN material.
