About our group
We have been organizing the workshop focusing on an interdisciplinary field consisting of ferroelectricity and spintronis/magnetics with support from Tohoku branch and Spintronics Society of Applied Physics Society of Japan since 2014. This group has been established with an objective to create a new research field that combine spintronics and ferroelectricity by 47 peoples from the both research fields. Over time, manipulation of ferroic ordering using ferroelectricity becomes of great interest in ferroelectricity research field. Meanwhile, fundamental study together with the development of precise evaluation technique for ferroic ordering behavior becomes more important than ever in spintronics field as well. However, there has been little exchange activities between these two research fields. We are strongly motivated to play a role to combine these two research fields. With young scientist consisting of most of members, our group is highly motivated to establish a foundation toward a new research fields through strong cross-boundary discussion within the establishment time frame.
We will be strongly promoting interdisciplinary research workshops as specified above and looking forward to collaboration and participation from the members of Applied Physics Society of Japan who have wide variety of specialties with the highest caliber.
